The Selfiemirror lets you capture who’s the fairest of them all

From the looks of it, the selfie trend is here to stay. Everything from pop culture to technological trends have responded to the rapidly increasing demand for photos that are way too close to the face. A perpetual kissie face to humanity, the humble selfie will continue on.

The Selfiemirror is a next step in the natural evolution of the selfie, combining a mirrored display and HD camera to facilitate selfies with armless ease. The Selfiemirror photo app lets users select a number of frames and time delay and then snaps a picture, with the option of using the included physical Bluetooth Button instead. But that’s just the beginning.

The Selfiemirror’s 2000 lumens of professional lighting wraps around the entire mirror for a more impressive photo or 60fps video, perfect for upload to social media through apps downloaded from the Google Play Store or services like YouTube. This, with an SD card slot and hi-fi sound system with two-way mic, means aspiring vloggers won’t need (further) expensive equipment.

Pretty much any app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and be used on a personal or business centric dashboard. The personal dashboard version includes fast access to the selfie app and other apps like Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook, Spotify and smart home management features of the Selfiemirror that can control connected object in the home. On the other hand, its business dashboard can give corporate customers fast access to apps like UBER, Maps, TripAdvisor and the selfie button. The Selfiemirrors come in two sizes that start at $199, with an expected due date of May 2016. The campaign is looking for $50,000 by Decemeber 23rd, 2015.

The Selfiemirror is the social media crazed cousin of the equally slick SmartMirror that can be programmed to do all of the same things as the Selfiemirror but without all features built for vloggers. That’s not to say it’s dim-witted — on the contrary: the Selfiemirror’s use of high-quality Sony camera, professional lighting and use of Android are smart additions that could make it extremely versatile for both the home and the business.
