Unfortunately, window views of next door apartment buildings are all too common.
The Atmoph digital window gives owners the opportunity to have a piece of the world right in their own living space. The 27″ frame houses a crisp 1920 x 1080, fully HD display capable of showcasing 4K videos shot the company itself, live streams of locales around the world, or a user’s own videos. The result is a night reading by the fireside, an afternoon preparing dinner in the lush jungles of Costa Rica, or a chat in bustling side streets of East London.
A user can choose their scenery with an iOS, Apple Watch, or Android device, or leave it up to Atmoph itself by using its option to smart schedule various scenes depending on the time of day. In addition, a proximity sensor near the top of the frame turns it on, as well as summon the weather, calendar, and time widgets when needed. All these features are packaged together at a $549 price point, with an estimated delivery date of March 2016. Atmoph hopes to raise $100,000 by June 11th, 2016.
The Atmoph is a beautiful addition to any household along the lines of other products like the Coolest Clock, SmarTock, and FRAMED. There’s no doubt it does what it does well, but it does scream for more functionality, even if the company insists on this massive display on serving no other purpose.
